We didn't manage to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the IMAX screen last night. We missed the showing by about 20 minutes, and went to see it in the regular theater instead (except for triadruid, who couldn't be arsed and saw War of the Worlds instead).

I was thinking I would post a review this morning, but the prospect is all too depressing, really.

And that in itself is probably a sufficient review.

If film were baseball, I'd trade Burton and Depp to a farm team.

might be best to see it for yourself. everyone i know who has seen it says it's the best movie ever. i guess it would really depend on the person.

It got reasonably good reviews, but I'm damned if I know why. I mean, there were certainly bits that were good, but overall... er.

i won't know for sure until i finally go see it. we are planning on seeing it with mac's folks when they get here the end of the month.
