This is to officially announce that EHQ is mostly networked, in that those of us who speak the same language can now share a net connection, a printer, and files. We shall be spending the next hrm.er.cough.er.yeah trying to teach the penguins to speak Redmond.

I have found out that most Penguins can be taught to speak to M$ systems by using the SAMBA utility. Supposedly it comes with most Penguins, but needs to be activated. I do NOT know how to do this.. but Triadruid may. Hope this helps.

Yeah - he's got Samba running now. I think he can get to everything but the printer. He assures us that this is normal, and that printing in Linux is the sort of thing that generally requires a lot of chalk, a robe of the appropriate color, seven black chickens and a sharp knife anyway.

I think that we are at the stage where the only thing left to do is the Linux part. So you are welcome to come over and hang out tomorrow, but I don't think we need to put you to work anymore :)
