In consideration of illustration

Can you see this (or something like this) on the outside of my left thigh? It's an acrylic called "The Golden Lions of Lugh" by artist Cari Buziak.

I'm awfully fond of it.

If you have a picture of your left thigh to work with and a general indication of location, I could probably photoshop it on for you..

But yeah, I like it.

Wow. I mean, wow. Just wow.

And the lions have tattoos on their thighs as well...

Layers within layers, wheels within wheels, etc. Is there any doubt why this appeals to me?

That's really nifty! I'm guessing it would be fairly expensive and take several visits though.

However, you were talking about getting some new ink for your birthday since your original plans fell through. I think it would be amazing.

Yeah - I envision several sittings and possibly an installment plan :-P

It will have to be reduced some, though, which means that some of that detail will likely be lost in the process. Sad, but economical.

That is very cool, but it looks painful. But then again, beauty is pain, right?

Beauty is pain

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2004-09-29 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
That's what the women in the 6" stilettos tell me.

Actually, a tattoo needle is more irritating than painful, though it's irritating over a long period of time, which approaches the same thing.

I never wore 6" stilettos. I did wear 3" spikes though, and while I do like the way they looked on me, I felt better when they just looked sexy in the corner. I don't have any ink, so I can't draw any comparisons there.

that's freakin huge!

[identity profile] starwyse.livejournal.com 2004-09-29 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
wow. that's amazing.

Dig it.

[identity profile] lightonthesill.livejournal.com 2004-09-30 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
It suits you in an unanticpated way. ; ) You know me - I'm all for big tattoos on thighs. ....my only logistics concern is the color - you might consider how those pale colors will take to your skin. Nothing a little more pigmant can't remedy. Love it Love it Love it. She does such cool stuff.

You are wise, indeed. Deeper shades of blue and gold would likely suit me better.

I definately think you should. So appropriate on so many levels. :)

[identity profile] matchgirl42.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
And I'm glad you found who did it. I got it off of some celtic graphics site, and they didn't have who did it, and that bothered me. So I'm glad now to know!

it really suits you
