This morning when I managed to drag myself out to the car to go to work, there was a birthday card under my windshield wiper that said "You're not getting older, you're getting more interesting to the medical profession."

Boy, that's the damned truth.

Nobody signed the card, but I am currently choosing to believe that it was from triadruid, so thanks, triadruid! (If it wasn't in fact you, let me know, would you?)

kittenpants went to the candle shop yesterday to pick up wedding favors, and brought me some yummy votives - 3 each of three types, for my druid birthday :)

Other fun and games... (Potential TMI)

Last night, niveus_tigris came by the house to fit me for a collar. So that's fun, and that's funny. But he makes lovely lovely leather bits, and is going to make me a collar and bracelets set, with chain connecting. Should be very exciting, in a vaguely cenobite way. :-D (Thanks, niveus_tigris!)

And we got to have this fun conversation:
NT: I could put a D-ring on the front for a leash, if you like.
Me: I'm really not leashable, so much.
NT: Not even for fun?
Me: Well, maybe. But there would have to be some sort of agreement of reciprocation in it.
NT: Like, "I'll wear the leash and collar today, but next time you've got to wear it"? Or like, "I'll wear the leash in public, but when we get home, you're putting it on"?
Me: Yes.
NT: Right, then. *takes notes*

This serves in some way to reinforce the conclusion triadruid and I came to the other day - nobody has any clear and correct idea about the power/dominance structure in our house, because there isn't a stable pattern. Which is fine. It just means that anyone who thinks of me as solely or primarily dom is likely to be disappointed, and anyone who thinks of me as solely or primarily sub is likely to be painfully disillusioned at some point. Assume nothing.


Also, didn't much want to get out of bed this morning. Having the sort of dreams again for which I need to apologize to people. (Sorry, er... everybody I know.)

Entirely too much sex drive for the past few days. This makes it difficult to do things, for example sit next to iron_clad while he buzzes his tongue stud against his beer glass. Sheesh.
