Short Update for Short People
Tuesday: Illness and Despair.
Wednesday: Illness and Curry.
Thursday: Frankly, I'm Hoping For Just Curry.
Also,
triadruid and I put The Bed together last night. If we'd known it was going to be as easy to do as it was (look ma, no tools!), we'd have done it long before now. It's lovely, and sturdy, and high enough off the ground that I can actually fit my under-bed storage boxes under it (extra win). However, it's a high frame, and I have a high mattress. The net result is that short bastards (such as myself and
triadruid) have to sort of pole vault into the bed. ("I can handle it, I did hurdles!," he says.) It's also sort of funny-looking to have this vast tall bed in my little hole-in-the-ground room, but not too bad. Photos of people tied to the bedposts may now commence. :)

The stepstool works well. I was afraid that I would stub my toe on it in the dark, or slip off it getting out of bed, but so far that hasn't happened.

Also, you can launch somebody much further across the room from a raised-up bed than one low to the ground.
In case that's ever important. Um.
