Apparently I am the last person on earth to know this: Your Dildo Is Made of Pure Evil.

Apparently, I am the last person on earth to know this, but in case I am not, I will pass it along. In addition to being pretty much impossible to clean (which I knew), 'jelly' sex toys are also made of unstable materials that leak irritants and may be carcinogenic.

The sort of plastic that these things are made from apparently used to be used in chew toys for babies and dogs, but has been pulled from the market in those applications. So anyways. I'm basically getting cancer, is what.

The Intarweb has our... er... backs on this one though. Several folks with online shops have a policy against selling anything made of phthalates (the bad guy in this story), among them Womyn's Ware and The Smitten Kitten. Womyn's Ware's website also features some truly stunning product reviews, under the link BuyerBeWomyn'sWare.

Susie Bright's blog is so educational.

It had been on the menu for Stupid Cupid, but it was too stupidly cold to deal with that.
I'm sure we could make a flaunt out of it. Of course, I'm sure we could make a flaunt out of just about anything.

Having spent some quality time in our local shops, I had determined even before acquiring this latest piece of information that perhaps I was going to do some internet shopping for my next purchase in this category. I was sort of disappointed with the local selection.

This does not, of course, mean that I would not be willing to go take another look at the possibilities to be had locally...

I'm not sure it's a big enough production to flaunt about, but it could be a group outing.

I have a couple of friends on the more shy side that want (im)moral support to go on such an expedition... So, of course, they asked to go along when I next do this.
