Hey now.
Discovered during malt research:
"Rumour has it that Laphroaig was the only whisky that still could be sold legally by apothecaries during the prohibition that plagued the US in the 1920's, because of its medicinal taste. I guess the government officials who tried it couldn't imagine anybody drinking this stuff out of their own free will."
As it turns out, I like Laphroig a great deal -- it is one of my favorites. I suppose everybody doesn't have to, though. That's more for me.
