Oh my various deities...

[livejournal.com profile] cadhla is my new hero, for lo, zie has brought forth the Commandments of Coyote (assuming of course, that Coyote would bother with telling you how to do anything before providing painful and interesting 'learning opportunities'...

The Commandments of Coyote )
Really, it's the last one that makes it perfect.

Help?

I'm wondering if someone can point me somewhere useful.
Here's the deal:

I'm looking to do more creative writing. The brain is rusty and underused. I joined [livejournal.com profile] great_write_way, which provides a challenge once a week for very very short fiction. I like this. I think this is very, very cool. However, I would like to have some call to write more than once a week. And I am perfectly capable of coming up with my own prompts, but I want to put things out for comment/critique, and I don't want to do it here in my journal. I am cruel, sometimes, but I am not that cruel. I like you all too much to subject you to that.

Can anybody point me to a group (LJ communities are the best, since I'm already here) that they participate in or have seen and enjoy? I have been looking around, but since I really don't do fanfic (I'm not very fannish, or at least not involved enough in that sort of thing to be able to write convincing fanfic [not that 'convincing' seems to be important]), I haven't found much.

I did, however, find Jesus/Judas slash. But that's the sort of thing I have come to expect from the Internet.

Mercy Buckets.

EDIT: And if [livejournal.com profile] fionnabhar and I started our own writing community, would you come and play?
