Slack night!

Last night there were an overwhelming number of things that needed to get done. So overwhelming that in fact at at least one point everybody yowled, and one of us (who will not be named) spent some time cowering in a closet behind some coats. So we did what any reasonable bunch of genuine human beings would do, which was to make the decision to pointedly ignore all of it, and fuck around with a vengeance instead.

So we managed to get the following things accomplisehed:
Chased triadruid around the house and sat on him so kittenpants could bite his toes.
Ate really excellent pizza.
Went to the grocery store, pushed triadruid around in the cart, bought the most potheaded cart of groceries I've seen since college.
Did some drinking. (frozen mudslides)
Did our ritual teams peer reviews.
Did some more drinking. (unexpected quantities of rum)
Played cards.

triadruid is evolving quite well in the card-playing dimension. I'm very proud of him, and he is becoming a Worthy Opponent (tm). We've played gin on exactly two occasions, on the first of which, he said things like "Do you kiss people with that mouth?" and "You say the sweetest, most delicate things". Now he says things like "Incoming anal rape" and "Can I get you some lube?". So all in all, he's adjusted to the level of bloodlust and foul-mouthedness that I have come to associate with the game of gin, and things are proceeding well. *grin*

So anyway, 2/3rds of the Entropic Trinity Crew are home on mental health days today :) Bless them, for they are learning of the ways of slack.

Just talked to an old friend from back home on IM - she let me ramble on about card games and pirates and discordia and tattooing and bondage films and half a dozen other damned things for at least an hour before she told me that another friend of ours had had a stroke. A mild stroke, to be sure, and she seems to be okay now, but seriously. I wish she'd have said that right off and not let me talk about crap forever first.
