To Do List for the weekend

Because I can't possibly be enveloped in other people's projects if they're not here, now can I?

Necessities:
- New tires. At least two. Seriously.
- Oil change.
- Hair dye.
- Oh yeah. Bake stuff.

Projects I've been avoiding: Choose at least one.
- Living Foolishly Essay
- Tri-polar Systems Essay
- Story arc chapters
- Buttons
- Stuff for [livejournal.com profile] teross50, except it's probably too late.

Note to self and others

We saw a "badge maker" this weekend in The Toy Store in Lawrence; screw it together, it pops the front of a button together. load the second side and screw it again, it puts in the 'pin' on the back. Very cool looking; we almost got you one.

Alas, this was probably a good thing not to buy you, as looking for it online, it appears that refills are nearly, if not totally impossibe to obtain. 15 buttons would not justify the expense. Screw it (to coin a phrase).

I've looked into those types of thing. The thing is that if I'm going to do something, I want to do it well, and I think that the sort of buttons covered in loose plastic look sort of crappy. I want whatever they have at Half-Price, that makes a tight wrap, possibly without a plastic shield. If I could get a button maker that turned out something that looked good, I'd want one.
