Insurance
I went and paid the past-due on my insurance before noon, so odds are good that it will get posted by end of day, and I won't be insuranceless anymore. However, they couldn't promise me that it would take effect, and they couldn't promise me that my policy wouldn't get terminated permanently anyway. Bastards. The really exciting part of this is that the car is of course, owned by the bank still, and they're threatening to add all sorts of fees to my loan for non-insurance. So I'm going to call them and tell them that I paid my policy, and hopefully that will be enough.
From the "Omen or Pizza?" department, the difference between the amount they asked me to pay to rescue my policy today and the check that I sent them two weeks ago that they inexplicably rejected and sent back: $23.23. So I don't know if that's a good sign or a bad sign. Hail Eris.
